  講座紹介
  

 教育活動は、2学年前期に興奮性組織の生理学と神経の生理学、2学年後期に循環・呼吸の生理学と口腔生理学を講義し、また2学年後期に口腔生理学実習を行っている。
研究活動としては、
(1)心筋および咀嚼筋(骨格筋)の動力学特性と可塑性の解析、筋疾患の病因の解明
(2)感覚情報処理に関与する中枢神経回路の発達と異常
(3)食品咀嚼時のヒトの咀嚼行動と嚥下誘発との関係の解析
などを進めている。

  研究活動
  
(1) 心筋および咀嚼筋(骨格筋)の動力学特性と可塑性の解析、筋疾患の病因の解明:
筋の動力学特性についてはスキンド標本レベルでその筋長-張力-短縮速度-ATPase活性関係などを独自に開発した装置にて解析し、また筋の可塑性、筋肥大、筋疾患などについては、分子生物学的手法なども併用して、その発現機序の解明に努めている。(三枝木、大貫)
(2) 食品咀嚼時のヒトの咀嚼行動と嚥下誘発との関係の解析:
食品咀嚼時のヒトの咀嚼行動と嚥下誘発との関係については、咀嚼の各相での食塊物性計測と咀嚼筋筋電図を記録して解析しており、『摂食・嚥下障害』に対する基礎研究である。(塩澤、水木 )
(3) 中枢神経回路における三量体Gタンパク質の機能解析:
電気生理学、分子生物学および発生工学的手法を用いて、三量体Gタンパク質の活性調節因子群の機能解析に努めている。(本谷)
